
Description:
Design and deliver technology to assist people with disabilities. Biomedical Engineers make equipment and devices using engineering and science. They do research, sometimes with many difference types of scientists. They do lots of experiments.
Duties:
• Research problems and see if they can create a device that can help.
• Conduct experiments.
• Work with scientists and engineers as a team.
• Enter data into a computer and write reports.
Where and When:
• Most Biomedical Engineers work in labs and have offices there.
• They can work for colleges, research hospitals, companies, and the government.
• They normally work inside and work regular hours.
What or Who They Work With:
• Meters
• Electrical equipment
• Temperature devices
• Pressure gauges
• X-ray machines
• Computers
Education and Training:
• Many have a Bachelor's degree
• Most have a Master's degree
