Description:
Information Scientists fix problems with computers or computer programs.
Duties:
• Figure out what problems are with computers and software.
• Make a list of goals to fix problems.
• Meet with others to learn more about the computer problem.
• Train others to work on computers and software.
• Use math to work on ways to fix computer codes.
Where and When:
• Most work in office buildings.
• Some may visit other companies where the computer problems exist.
• Some may have their own business.
• Some may work for a college or university.
• Most may work during the weekday.
• Some may work nights and weekends.

• Cameras for data collection
• Computer servers
• Computers
• Robots
• Internet
• Software
• Laser Scanners
Education and Training:
• Most have a Master's degree (at least 6years) in computer science, engineering, or information science and studies.
• Some have a Doctoral degree (at least 8years)in computer science, engineering, or information science and studies.
• Many use info from the STEM subjects.
